Join the AAIC and the Instituto Murciano de Investigación y Desarrollo Agrario y Alimentario (IMIDA) for the 2005 AAIC annual meeting in the historic city of Murcia.

- Hotel: NH Amistad Murcia, a 4-star hotel located in the heart of the city by the El Corte Ingles shopping center.
- Venue: Las Claras Conference Hall (c/ Santa Clara).
Transportation
Flights from the
U.S. connect Madrid or Barcelona with Alicante Airport.
Alicante airport can also be reached via London or Paris
(daily flights to Alicante) or many other European cities.
Special conference buses between Alicante and Murcia will be
arranged for Friday, September 16, and Thursday, September
22. For those arriving at other times, there is commercial
bus service every two hours between Alicante and Murcia.

Program
Industrial crops have traditionally helped to
diversify and to add value and new properties to
agricultural products. In Mediterranean European countries,
rural development and preservation of the environment are
priorities which can also be achieved by promoting regional
products with a guarantee of geographic origin. The language
of the conference will be English.

On Monday, a one-day tour outside Murcia, including

Student Travel Grant Award
The AAIC has awarded three $1500
reimbursements to defray the costs of registration and other
expenses associated with having attended the conference.
