Location

    

Travel 

*   Travel from the USA to Santiago, Chile (SCL).

*   Daily direct flights from Atlanta, GA to Santiago, Chile, on Delta Airlines and from Dallas, TX on American Airlines. They’re also direct flights to Santiago from Miami, New York and Los Angeles on different airlines (Lan Chile, Avianca, AA, Continental and many more).

 

*   Travel from Santiago to Termas de Chillán.

*   The University of Concepción will provide buses to transport participants at no extra cost for passengers. Trip from Santiago to Termas de Chillán on a bus is 6 hr.  Bus will leave at 11:00 AM on Sunday, November 15th from the Hotel Plaza San Francisco in Santiago.

*   The bus from Santiago to Termas de Chillán on November 15th is exclusively for non-Chilean citizens. Buses for Chilean citizens will depart, Sunday Nov. 15th at 6:00PM, and Monday November 16th at 7:30AM from the University of Concepción Campus, in Chillán. Please make sure you indicate us via e-mail which bus will be you in, to make the adequate reservations.

*   Travel from Termas de Chillán to Santiago

*   There will be buses leaving on Thursday, November 19th at noon to Santiago, airport or Hotels for those staying.

*   Passengers arriving later than Sunday 10:00 AM or leaving before or after Thursday at 12:00 can book a flight to Concepción city or travel by bus or train to Chillán.  AAIC organizing committee won’t pay for the extra cost.

 

*   Average travel cost: $1300 roundtrip from Atlanta or Dallas to SCL.

*   US and Canadian citizens do not require visa to enter the country but they must pay $130 fee upon entry.

Accommodations 

Meeting attendees,

 

If you have sent an email or spoken with the Sra. Parra (for Hotel and Convention Center accommodations) or Sra. Marambio (for rooms at Hotel Plaza San Francisco), but have heard nothing back or have had no direct  confirmation from the hotel(s), do the following:
      Please email Marisol (marisol.berti@ndsu.edu) the email you sent the hotel for your reservations or other information, so that she can help keep track and call the Hotels and make sure reservations have been taken. Also, all attendees requiring transportation to the conference, please send Marisol (marisol.berti@ndsu.edu) a copy of your travel itinerary so she can arrange the shuttles to pick you up at the airport in Santiago.

The hotel area includes convention center with three large conference rooms and The Hotel Pirimahuida which is 7 km from the Convention center.

Hotel Pirimahuida

 

It is located 7 km from the Convention center, vans will be available from the Hotel to the Convention Center during the day

           Single room                US$ 545= Value per person for 4 nights

 

Values include breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee breaks. Breakfast will be served at The Hotel Pirimahuida and lunch and dinner at the Gran Hotel and Convention Center.

Early member registration (before June30th): $200
Early non-member registration (before June 30th): $300

Student registration: $100
Late member registration (after June 30th): $250
Late non-member registration (after June 30th): $350

Late student registration:$150

 

Companions

Companions do not need to pay registration cost. They will have to pay for the hotel stay which includes all meals.

Bus ride and tours to the winery and Professional tour are at no extra cost for companions.

 

Tours for companions

 Tours will be offered to sightseeing the Santiago City and surroundings on Saturday, November 14 afternoon.

The Hotel Termas de Chillán and surroundings have many activities for people staying at the Hotel, horse back riding, thermal and spa, casino, rock climbing, and more for more information visit www.termasdechillan.cl.
