Hosted by the Department of Soils & Crop Science, Texas A&M University

Join the AAIC for our 2008 meeting at the Hilton Hotel in College Station, Texas.

 

Accommodations

  • Hilton College Station, 801 University Drive East, College Station, TX US 77840.  Right in the heart of Texas, the Hilton College Station & Conference Center is located at the intersection of University Drive and Tarrow Boulevard, less than two miles from Texas A&M University. The hotel has 303 luxuriously appointed guest rooms, with over 65 suites, several in-room Jacuzzi suites and a two bedroom Presidential Suite on the top floor, overlooking the beautiful Brazos Valley.

September  8th, Monday - Plenary session and technical sessions (Oilseeds, Fiber, Bioenergy) and Poster Session begins
 

Plenary Session:

  • Bruce Resnick (Intellectual Asset Manager, Cargill, Inc.) – Quality Deployment Function as a Tool for Selecting an Industrial Crop
  • Nick Kob (Market Development Manager, Huntsman) -  Biobased Products in the Chemical Industry

September  9th, Tuesday - Technical sessions (Oilseeds, General crops, Rubber & Resins, Nutraceutical and Medicinal Crops) - Awards Banquet

September  10th, Wednesday - Professional tour to cotton gin, TAMU research farm (warm season oilseeds and lignocellulosic crops, TAMU horticulture gardens (lunch), TAMU pilot cellulosic conversion plant. Additional tour options to be announced.
